Podcast: Introduction to the seamless workforce

Hi everyone, and behalf of all of us here at The Seamless Workforce, welcome! I’m excited to have the opportunity to write and participate in this forum with you, and to draw attention to the issues at the forefront of human capital management today. You’ll find that the community of contributors here cares a great deal about how the industry is evolving and is as eager as I am to discuss the new complicated workforce that is emerging.

The workforce today is unlike any we have seen in the past. It’s a hybrid, consisting of various types of workers–perms, temps, contract, freelance, etc. While all groups contribute to the productivity of the organization, the differences between them make it a challenge to exercise control and guide the workforce in a way that supports the strategic objectives of your firm in the long run.

It’s going to be our goal here to explore these workforce challenges and offer advice and real-life case studies that will help you streamline your workforce processes and truly create a seamless workforce.
