The role of RPO in economic recovery

As the economy starts to recover (albeit, slowly), companies are looking to staff up to meet their growing business needs. However, in many cases their recruiting staffs were also hit hard by the downturn. That’s where RPO solutions come in.

Last week HRO Today announced the results of its 2010 RPO Baker’s Dozen Survey, and for the second straight year, Yoh was named to the list of Mid-Market and On-Demand leaders.

HRO Today received input from more than 600 respondents, making this its largest survey to date. The providers ranked were measured in three major categories: breadth of service, size of programs, and quality of service provided.

As the workforce continues to evolve and the economy continues to recover, you can be sure that we haven’t seen the end of RPO. RPO will continue to play a crucial role in rebuilding and transforming the workforce into a greater mix of permanent, contingent, and temporary staff.

    As the economy has hit many business’ hard, internal recruiting staff was probably one of the first budgets to be cut. If your not hiring – you dont have a need for individuals looking for perspective employees.

    Having said that, as the economy bounces back, companies need to keep up with their growing business needs, without having to hire and train additional internal HR staff. RPO allows companies to bulk up their staffing, reduce cycle times and imporve candidate quality, all while keeping costs down through the value proposition of RPO.
