Why your contingent workforce needs to be included in company culture

Posted by: Joel Capperella

Southwest Airlines has earned the reputation of having one of the strongest employment brands in this country. Perhaps part of that recognition comes from ensuring that all employees — contingent workers included — are aligned with and invested in the company culture.

Last week, I shared with you a discussion I had with Greg Muccio, Southwest’s Team Leader for Employment, about this very topic. If you haven’t already done so, take a four-minute break from your day and listen to that interview. Or you can read the transcript.

Greg presents a great argument for making sure all categories of employees and non-employees are welcomed into the company culture.
