The intelligence you should demand of professional staffing providers

In my investigation at SHRM 2011 of the products and services that are trying to help the HR community better align their efforts to ensure workforce strategies are well-developed and easily executed, I spoke with Bond Talent CEO Tim Giehll. Tim has a very interesting perspective on the way in which the performance of an organization should be evaluated: He believes the typical metrics that are completely fiscally oriented should be turned upside down and evaluated from the perspective of the intellectual capital (i.e., talent) that is required to drive the business.

Tim is a fan of Dr. Peter Cappelli and has subscribed to the notion that the talent supply chain should be treated similarly to how manufacturing companies treat their actual supply chains. Doing so, Tim contends, requires a more disciplined evaluation of how talent affects the fiscal performance of the organization.
