CWS Summit 2012: What we’re looking forward to
Posted by:
While our children move back into education mode and return to school, us big kids are putting our learning hats back on too (not that we should ever take them off). First on Yoh’s syllabus is the CWS Summit, which we’ll be heading to later next week. To prepare, I’ve started to review this year’s schedule to find compelling sessions to attend.
SIA and its sponsors do a great job of keeping the sessions fresh and insightful year after year. This year three presentations in particular caught my eye: “Integrating your Talent Solutions (MSP, RPO, SOW) — Where Do you Start?” and “Next Generation Topic: How to Leverage Social Media, Crowdsourcing and Other Technologies,” both scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 20, and “Brass ‘Tactics’ Topic: Is an MSP Right for Your Company?” being held on Friday, Sept. 21.
“Integrating your Talent Solutions (MSP, RPO, SOW) — Where Do you Start?” is especially compelling as I’ve heard and written about customers struggling to identify a sophisticated talent solution that encompass all services. I refer to this seemingly elusive solution as the total talent portal.
At Yoh, we have successfully implemented this concept for a select few customers. I believe this mindset of sophisticated simplicity will spread quickly as early adopters reap the rewards and socialize their successes. Who knows? Maybe the winner of the CWS Summit’s Case Study Competition will be centered on solution integration and accelerate adoption of these services!
Another session I’m looking forward to is “How Developing Markets are Shaping the Future of Work,” the keynote by Governor Jon Huntsman. Not only do I find Governor Huntsman intriguing from a political and social perspective, but I find his keynote topic perfectly timed for our industry, my organization, and our customers. As Yoh continues to expand internationally and our customers require more scalable, global solutions, we all need to develop an understanding of emerging global markets and how they are shaping work in today’s global marketplace.
So if you’re attending the CWS Summit this year, I’d recommend checking out these sessions and, of course, visiting us at booth #43. I’d love to meet you and talk shop for a few minutes. If you’re not attending, stay tuned to The Seamless Workforce as we’ll have plenty of follow-up posts and observations from the show floor.
